MEDICAL TRAINER
Position Title: Medical Trainer Location: Dorchester, MA Reports to: Head Coach
Job Summary
Dorchester City FC is looking for a Medical Trainer to join our staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of player injuries, ensuring that our athletes are healthy, fit, and ready to perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-field and off-field medical care for players, including injury assessment and treatment.
Develop and implement injury prevention programs.
Create and manage rehabilitation plans for injured players.
Conduct routine fitness and health assessments.
Collaborate with coaches and strength and conditioning staff.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all players.
Educate players on injury prevention, treatment, and overall health and wellness.
Ensure compliance with all league and team medical protocols.
Prepare and maintain medical kits and supplies for practices and games.
Attend practices and games.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a medical trainer, athletic trainer, EMT, or other medical professional.
Strong knowledge of sports medicine, injury prevention, and rehabilitation techniques.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Preferred Skills
Certification from a recognized athletic training program (e.g., NATA, BOC).
Background in sports medicine.
Spanish proficiency
