Position Title: Assistant Soccer Coach Location: Dorchester, MA Reports to: Head Coach

Job Summary

Dorchester City FC is seeking an Assistant Soccer Coach to join our coaching staff. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of team management, training, and development, with a focus on improving player performance and fostering a positive team environment. A player/coach role is a possibility for the right candidate. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and conducting training sessions.

  • Develop and implement game strategies and tactics in collaboration with the Head Coach.

  • Provide individual and group coaching to enhance player skills and performance.

  • Analyze team and opponent performance using video and statistical analysis.

  • Support the Head Coach in game-day preparations and decision-making.

  • Attend practices, games, and related events.

  • Assist with administrative tasks, including travel arrangements and equipment management.

Qualifications

  • Previous coaching or high-level playing experience

  • Strong knowledge of soccer techniques, tactics, and strategies.

  • Ability to analyze and communicate game-related information effectively.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Commitment to player development and team success.

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Skills

  • Spanish proficiency
